The band's first rehearsal of the season was a huge success, with the ensemble boasting no fewer than a dozen new members. The group spent the rehearsal reading through holiday music in preparation for the annual benefit concert for the Salvation Army where the band will be sharing the stage once again with the Massanutten Brass Band. 

The band is excited to announce that this year's registration numbers are at an all time high. With more than a week to go until the first rehearsal, over 40 musicians have signed up for the 2012-2013 season. One of the most exciting aspects of this year's band is the number of new players signing up and in particular, the number of younger players joining the ensemble. The band has gone from strength to strength since starting in the spring of 2010 and this year looks to be an exciting one.
